Born 03 October 1959
Nijmegen the Netherlands
At the start of 1990's I was working at a laboratory developing new pharmaceuticals. I attended live concerts in this period, and found myself annoyed by the poor quality of sound engineering. Wanting to do it better, I decided to do a study course on sound.
In 1992 I quit my regular job and began working as a sound engineer. I started to tour and record albums with The Legendary Pink Dots (1991-2010).Later I also became "front-of-house" engineer at Hawkwind concerts (1995-2002). Recordings I'd made at a couple of these shows and also at the Hawkwind studio at Barkalot Farm, were released at this time. I also began sound engineering at the Lux Theatre in Nijmegen (2000-2010) where I've worked with numerous artists over the years.
Too many to name - here are a handful of artists that I remember fondly:Porcupine Tree, Wally Tax, Christina Branco, The Pretty Things "SF Sorrow" rock opera featuring David Gilmour and Arthur Brown, The Residents, Bik Bent Braam, Daevid Allen, New Cool Collective, Martin Van Duynhoven and Club Diana.
